Does this phone make another history in Smartphone industry?Let’s wait and see. 🙂

Huawei UPDATES will be over-the-air ONLY.

Here’s some shocking news for Huawei smartphone owners and EMUI fans out there. The company has silently removed all ROM images for their phones on the official website.

When you try to visit the EMUI download page, this poorly constructed message will greet you: “To deliver a more convenient and satisfactory update service, Huawei now only provides online updates for its phones, [tablets], etc. SD card update packages are no longer supplied. By this time, all the SD card upgrade packages will be removed from the website and the download page will be closed.” You’re then obliged to accept it by clicking on the “I knew it” button.

From now on, based on what is said on the EMUI page, Huawei phones will have to rely on over-the-air updates. As to why, well, the company said they wanted to make it more convenient; but the rollout of OTA updates are not 100 percent reliable, especially when your region gets left out.

Maybe Huawei is moving away from EMUI? Who knows? With the Mate 10 already set for its official announcement this October, we hope to know more. We do wish Huawei considers to go for the stock Android experience too.

Android Oreo Pixel Launcher for Android! :)

Recently Google released the 8th edition of Android. It is named as Android Oreo. Though many people already predicted the name of it. Also, there is a list of the device which will get an Android O update. You can see them on the respective manufacturer website.Obviously pixel device will get the first test of Android Oreo.

Android 8.0 OREO (Android O)

What is Android Oreo?

Android 8.0 Oreo (Android O) is set to take the mobile landscape by storm when it is finally released.

Key to this next implementation of the Android platform is what Google has dubbed Fluid Experiences, which allows users to move from one app to another WITHOUT closing the main app, enabling a more productive and efficient experience. For instance, Picture-in-Picture (PiP Mode) allows for much better multitasking functionality.

Another Fluid Experiences feature is Notification Dots, which is a simple addition to the home screen and App Drawer that tells users an action is available for a particular app. For example, when you receive a new email, you’ll see a small circle over the app icon, indicating an active notification.

Other notable Android Oreo features:

  • Auto-Fill: This feature allows apps to automatically fill in usernames to make signing into apps and services more efficient and more faster.
  • Better cache data management: Every app will have a cache data limit. When the system needs to free up memory, it will automatically delete cached data from apps that have exceeded their limit to make.
  • Notification Snoozing: Users can snooze notifications instead of only dismissing them like an alarm clock.
  • Smart Text Selection: This feature will use machine learning to recognize commonly copied words (such as business names, phone numbers, URLs, etc.) and quickly copy them without having to select each letter or number of the intended selection.
  • TensorFlow Lite: This subsystem will help apps perform significantly faster by way of on-device machine learning. This scaled-down version of Google’s machine learning tool uses Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) to improve the overall experience.
  • Google Play Console Dashboards: This feature is aimed at developers only. It will display performance issues (such as battery drain, crashes, interface problems, etc.) to help developers resolve problems with their apps. This will benefit all Android users because app problems will be resolved faster.
  • Google Play Protect: This is Google’s way of upping the ante on security. Beginning with Oreo, Android will include a real-time security scanner that will scan all apps that come from the Google Play Store. This new system should go a long way to protect Android users from malicious software and data theft.

Let’s wait for more information that will GOOGLE tells us! 🙂

Sony Xperia XZ1 Teaser! :)

Rather than improving only for aesthetics, Sony’s designers focus on balance and usability. The phone has a minimalistic or simple design and flaunts a metal body, like most of the Xperia flagships, the XZ1 is likely to be waterproof.

Phone’s exact dimensions are:

146.8 mm (l) x 73.4 mm (w) x 7.6 mm (d).

8.2 mm thin

Right next to the camera optics, you can see a peculiar black band that hosts an LED flash and a mysterious sensor that might be used for focusing.

Rear Camera: 19-megapixel sensor with 4K video recording capabilities. You can also expect the 960 fps slow-motion video mode, which was introduced last year.

Front Camera: 12-megapixel front-facing camera.

Display: 5.2-inch screen.

Sony’s flagship handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset. On the software front, we can expect it with Android 8.0.

The Xperia XZ1 is expected to come in the first week of September at IFA 2017 consumer electronics trade show.

As mobile price is one of key factors in decision making, many of us will be keen to the cost of Xperia XZ1. We expect the phone to be priced around USD 800 (approx. Php 41,600 – 42,000).

VIVO Xplay 7 Leaks with 5 Cameras!

Not 1, not 2, but 5 cameras! According to the recently leaked Vivo slide presentations, the company’s upcoming Xplay 7 will be equipped with 5 cameras in total, 3 behind and 2 in front.

We don’t know the purpose of the triple cameras behind. It could be something like the Zenfone AR with Daydream and Tango support for AR or a new type of technology that will push mobile photography above the level of the current dual camera setups.

In front, the Xplay 7 boasts a dual cam set-up. It could be an improved version of what we saw from Vivo V5 Plus. It could be for depth to create bokeh effects for selfies.
Moreover, this handset will feature Vivo’s on-screen fingerprint scanner technology.
The device will come in three color options of white, black and gold.
The rest of the specs, details, features, pricing and availability are still a mystery FOR NOW.

OnePlus 5 Variant – “Coming Soon”

The OnePlus 5 has been on sale for more than a month now, and despite receiving critical acclaim, it has made the news for all the wrong reasons since launch. Between the jelly scrolling effect and the failed 911 calls, OnePlus’ flagship phone has certainly caught some flak.

The latest news from OnePlus seems positive. Just a few hours ago, on their OFFICIAL Facebook page, the company teased that “5omething new” is coming soon. The message arrived alongside an image of the two flavors of the OnePlus 5 currently available and an uncolored outline of a third OnePlus 5 unit.

As could be expected, some users in the comments joked that it might be the unveiling of the OnePlus 5T, however, this is highly unlikely. The OnePlus 5 already features the latest and greatest Qualcomm chipset, the Snapdragon 835, boasts more than enough RAM for just about anything, and comes with a superb dual camera — any upgrade that could be made right now would be comparatively minor.

This leads us to believe that OnePlus might instead be introducing a new color option for its flagship handset. Currently, the color selection is limited: the OnePlus 5 comes in either Midnight Black or Slate Gray, two very similar colors. A lighter option could allow OnePlus to widen its potential user base to those who aren’t impressed with the exclusively dark palette that’s available right now.

While we don’t know for sure what the new color would be, we do have some clues. A month before the announcement of the OnePlus 5, the Chinese company took to Twitter to ask its followers what color they’d prefer for their next handset: black, red, gold, or a finish that OnePlus dubbed “unicorn,” which looked like a gradient between cyan and magenta.

We doubt that OnePlus would release a slightly different black than the one it already has, so that’s out of the window. The unicorn color is definitely unique, but also could prove divisive, which dramatically lowers its chances of it featuring on a smartphone (they are, after all, mass market products).

All things considered, we’d wager that OnePlus will release either a red option of its latest device, or a gold one. And considering that gold is a tried and tested OnePlus color, that seems like the most likely choice.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition!

Samsung is testing a variant of the Galaxy Note 8 that will ship with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The handset, which has been dubbed the Emperor Edition, is expected to launch in South Korea alongside the base model that’ll come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, before inevitably making its way to China.

In addition from SamMobile, Ice Universe revealed that the Galaxy Note 8 will hit the shelves in three colors, including Midnight Black and Orchid Grey. Rival tipster Roland Quant believes that the third variant will be a new Deep Blue hue that’s different to the Coral Blue shade that debuted on the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7, though we’re still yet to see any evidence to support his claim.

Recent rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 8 Specs:

  • 6.3-inch edge-to-edge Infinity Display
  • Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 CPU
  • 3,300mAh battery
  • Android 7.1.1 Nougat (no, not Android O)
  • S-Pen

skinned with the latest version of Samsung’s Experience — formerly known as TouchWiz — user interface and support Daydream out of the box.

Digital news outlet OSEN reported last month that the firm is working on another model that’ll have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Unlike the Emperor Edition, this variant is set to launch in Europe, North America and South America, where it will carry a price tag of more than $1,100 or Php 55,610.50 plus here in the Philippines. If that turns out to be true, the Galaxy Note 8 will be the most expensive smartphone Samsung’s released to date.
